Short hiatus

This weekend was a little nuts. I was on the run Saturday and Sunday. I went to yoga, spent a lot of time with Kansas (a bit more on that in moment), and went to the mall with CK on Sunday.

It was a good time even though I didn't do many things I needed to do, to wit:
  • Call Mom
  • Call Dad
  • Go grocery shopping
  • Mop the kitchen
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Do laundry
  • Flip the mattress
  • Start filing my taxes
  • File my pile of bills and papers
Oy. Sometimes I feel like housework could take over my life. (There's really no excuse for not calling the folks.) I just don't have energy for it even though I have time to fit it in. Due to a lack of sleep on Saturday, I'm letting myself off the hook for Sunday. Maybe, hopefully, I can work through some of it this week, though I have at least two after work obligations.

I'm also a little buried at work due to lack of efficiency in December and January. I'm well into February and still playing catch up. The work isn't hard, merely tedious. This week, I'm determined to get through it all. To that end, I'm taking the week off from blogging. This time, I mean it. If I get all my work done before Friday, I will blog. But if I don't, I won't.

I want to tell you about Kansas but I also don't want to tell you about him. I'll have this week to think about how to handle it. I will tell you this: I saw him on Saturday, as per the plan. He was looking for me as much as I was looking for him. We spent the whole day and late into the evening together. I don't know what's going to happen. We could start dating or it could fizzle. I'm enjoying whatever it is, though, and I hope we continue to see each other. I am very surprised to find someone I like this well so soon on the heels of a break up. I don't recall ever feeling this way so quickly, let alone acting on it. It's a little disconcerting but I think I like it.

Grateful for: time to catch up.

Drop me a line.
