Work, work, work

I absolutely must work today, but it's very slow going. Here's a slightly modified line from one of the documents I'm reading:

"We rely on a series of communication tools to keep our clients informed and to coordinate with members of our team. These include email, phone, and face-to-face meetings."

Now don't go reinventing the wheel or anything.

Even if they'd written, "We use email, phone and face-to-face meetings to keep our clients informed and to coordinate with members of our team." It STILL would have been a useless bit of information. However, it would only have irritated me about half as much.

Note to anyone trying this at home: don't tell me you use the phone and email to communicate and call those "communication tools." Do you take me for a fool? Do tell me that you will have weekly, bi-weekly or monthly conference calls or face-to-face meetings with your team. Tell me that you will send us a weekly email update on your activities or have a face-to-face meeting once a quarter. That might actually be something I couldn't have figured out just by living in the world.

Back to work.

Grateful for: deadlines.

Drop me a line.
